LEGGETT & PLATT EXHIBITS AT THE BED SHOW ON 28TH-29TH SEPTEMBER 2010

Tuesday, May 18th, 2010

Leggett & Platt, an S&P 500 company and the world’s largest manufacturer of adjustable beds, today announced it will exhibit at The Bed Show on 28-29th September at the International Centre, Telford. The company will showcase their high-tech and luxurious beds, including the new Prodigy™, S-Cape™ and Pro-Motion™, at the exhibition.

The show, being organized for the first time by The National Bed Federation, will only be available to members of the National Bed Federation although it will be extensively marketed to retailers to attend the exhibition. Show attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the latest technological innovations that are built into the beds, as component suppliers will showcase their products together with bed manufacturers. Visitors also will get to preview new products!

The Prodigy™ by Leggett & Platt completely redefines the role of an adjustable bed in the bedroom as a truly interactive and customisable enhancement to your lifestyle. Gone are the days when an adjustable bed is only needed by a small segment of the population; in 2010, the Prodigy™ delivers the ultimate sleep system to the bedroom, utilising the latest technology and enhanced features to put the user in complete control.

To illustrate, Prodigy™ brings relaxation and harmony to double-bed users with its one-touch, anti-snore technology. This intelligent innovation allows the user to articulate the sleep position of a snoring partner by seven degrees to open the nasal passages, which can ease mild to moderate snoring. After thirty minutes, the bed gently returns the sleeper to the original sleep position, whatever it may be.

An added innovation comes in the shape of the gentle-wake alarm system that delicately massages the sleeper awake. In the dual-twin Prodigy™ model, each sleeper can be awakened independently, ideal for couples who don’t see eye to eye on a set wake time or for partners who don’t have well-matched schedules. An in-built sleep timer also permits users to tilt back into sleep, by automatically setting the bed from an active position to a sleeping position.

The Prodigy™ allows users to have complete power over their sleeping actions via wireless remote control technology and can even be incorporated with added electronics in the bedroom via iPhone® and iPod touch® applications.

Prodigy’s ‘Whisper Quiet’ Bariatric-motor technology allows up to 272 kg of load capacity to be lifted with ease.

Leggett & Platt also will present established adjustable bed models such as the S-Cape™ and Pro-Motion™ at The Bed Show. The S-Cape™ is one of the most well-liked, mid-budget adjustable beds, while the Pro-Motion™ offers exceptional performance at an entry-level price. [END]

Conquip Industrial, (www.conquipindustrial.com) a world class manufacturer of quality lifting and handling equipment, has successfully and memorably exhibited at BAUMA 2010, the world’s largest trade fair for the building industry. The show, which took place in Munich, Germany on 19th-25th April, presents an international product range in the areas of construction machinery, construction equipment and vehicles and mining machines.

The show proved to be extremely successful, attracting thousands of visitors in its first few days. Additionally, Conquip has identified ‘new business’ and ‘expanded relationship’ opportunities at Bauma 2010 and is currently following up a host of partnering opportunities with organisations across Europe. These partners will be announced over the coming months… So watch this space!

Despite the travel problems linked to the volcanic ash cloud across Europe, Conquip was able to attend throughout the show and engage with the marketplace, building strong and fruitful relationships with partners and suppliers alike.

Rob Crichley, Director of Conquip Industrial commented, “We want to expand our reach more into mainland Europe and beyond, so our Partnership Programme campaign and our attendance at Bauma 2010, are important elements of our future development. One of our strengths is that we are always looking to partner with our clients and suppliers as we believe that in doing so we can both benefit from each other’s experience and knowledge, making any change in the way we do business a combined success. So, as we begin negotiations with a number of exciting potential partners in territories around the world and continue to establish new and exciting global relationships, we look forward to growing the Conquip brand over the coming years, based on our core strengths of quality, product innovation and customer service”. Cre8ive Wisdom supports Leggett & Platt Adjustable beds at interiors 2010

Monday, January 25th, 2010

Cre8ive Wisdom has supported its Fortune 500 client Leggett & Platt, by organising and enabling it to exhibit at the interiors 2010 show at Birmingham NEC, (24-27 Jan 2010) as part of its on-going strategic client relationship, with the World’s largest manufacturer of adjustable beds.

Cre8ive Wisdom handled the organisation and logistics for Leggett & Platt’s attendance at the show, while also designing the 11.m x 5m exhibition stand, including an additional ‘executive wave’ brochure display stand, DVD presentation and pre, during and post event PR.

Cre8ive Wisdom also coordinated the installation of the exhibition stand, which was constructed using interlocking vinyl banner stands, so that a traditional ’shell scheme’ was not required. The savings made by this approach meant that all promotional and strategic marketing aspects of the exhibition attendance and were handled within a budget that would normally just cover the hire of the shell scheme for the four day exhibition.

This approach also has the unique advantage that the stand can be re-used in future events and re-sized in a number of ways, while retaining the core visual branding and .keeping future exhibition costs to a minimum at the same time as retaining maximum impact and flexibility.

Company WiseGuy Neil Armstrong said “The costs of exhibiting at any show or exhibition are usually costly enough just for the rental of the space you take up. Add to that the cost of a shell scheme to essentially give you a basic walls and carpeted floor and the costs more than double. Exhibitors then still need to think about electricity, display graphics and furniture on top of that, which again, adds sometimes prohibitive costs into the equation.”

Company WiseGuy Neil Armstrong went onto explain, “The solution that we came up with here, enabled the client to attend the show and create impact for a much more palatable price, allowing additional budgets to be made available for other important aspects of any show attendance, such as PR and promotional elements. We are utilising a similar plan for another client in April this year at a European exhibition and will again be supporting Leggett & Platt at a specialist sleep show in September 2010.”
